Long awaited racing game Grip is finally coming out in 2018 but we still don’t have an exact date yet.  The game is touted as a spiritual successor to the popular Rollcage games on the original Playstation with many of the same developers involved.  Grip is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch & PC.

Caged Element, the developers behind Grip, and their publisher Wired Productions have touted the game as an aggressive high adrenaline combat racer.  It certainly looks unique both aesthetically and in terms of gameplay judging by the new trailer below.  Competition is fierce this year in the racing game genre with games like Gravel & Burnout Paradise Remastered already out and others coming soon such as Onrush from Codemasters so will Grip be able to stand out from the pack?

There certainly seems to be enough to differentiate it from other racing games on the market and if fans are anything like me buy pretty much all of the best racers that come out and I’ve personally waited for Grip for several years and hope Caged Element can deliver the spiritual successor to Rollcage I’m after as there’s really not been anything remotely similar since.

Heres hoping Grip delivers the goods although I’m assuming, since we don’t have an exact launch date now, we won’t hear when it will release exactly until E3 in June but if I hear anything else I’ll let you know so stay tuned to Stoffel Presents.
