Monster Hunter: World has just become the best selling game ever for Capcom in just over a month since release it has shipped 7.5 million copies worldwide.
This surpasses their previous bestseller Resident Evil 5 which has shipped 7.3 million and that’s been out for 9 years launching on 13 March 2009. So it seems Capcom’s plan to make Monster Hunter into a more popular brand in the West with Monster Hunter: World has succeeded. Certainly worked on me, as a newcomer I’ve clocked up over 50 hours in the game since launch and together with my friend Pete we gave it a glowing 9/10 in our review here
Monster Hunter: World is one of the best games of 2018 so far and will surely be in the running for Game Of The Year. With free content coming such as new areas and monsters like the fan favourite, Devil Jho, seen in the trailer below and is coming in Spring 2018 as the first free add-on to the game. Capcom has also confirmed there will be no loot boxes or any other form of micro-transactions in Monster Hunter: World.
