Halo: The Master Chief Collection got a new trailer today showcasing it’s upcoming Xbox One X enhancements. The collection of Halo 1-4 is getting the enhanced update in a just over a week on 1 September 2018. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the game from then for free as part of their subscription.
The update includes 4K HDR visuals, a more consistent 60fps frame rate and faster load times. The update also fixes online matchmaking. Which has had issues that have plagued the collection since it launched in November 2014. Now, going on 4 years later, developers 343 Industries have finally fixed them. So players can look forward to Halo: The Masterchief Collection looking and playing better than ever before.
Original Xbox One & Xbox One S owners can also enjoy the matchmaking fixes included in this update. With the Xbox One S also gaining HDR and 4K upscaling if they have a 4K display. On original Xbox One and Xbox One S the game runs at 1080p 60fps, with the S upscaling to 2160p on a 4K display.
