Walmart Canada, who have provided the biggest leaks of unanounced games in the run up to E3 this year, have struck again this time with a listing for a new Perfect Dark game which of course if it’s true will be coming exclusively on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. The listing was then immediately taken down so unfortunately I cannot provide a link just this screenshot taken by a 4chan user.
Walmart Canada already listed a number of games for pre-order last month, many of them yet to be announced. Since then two of the titles have been officially unveiled with Rage 2 revealed by Bethesda as coming in Spring 2019 and Warner Bros announced Lego DC Villains this week so that is two down that brings a lot more credibility to this leak. You can see all of the other games that were listed by Walmart last month below. Interestingly Gears Of War 5 and Forza Horizons 5 (as Walmart calls it surely a mistake meant to be Forza Horizon 4) have both been taken down as well so perhaps someone at Microsoft has been in touch and ask them to be removed.
There were rumours earlier this year from supposed insiders at Xbox that a new Perfect Dark was in development by The Coalition, who usually makes the Gears Of War games. These insiders also said a new Fable was in the works at Playground Games’ new studio who are known to be working on a third person action RPG which would certainly fit the description for the Fable series. A new Splinter Cell with some sort of timed exclusivity or marketing deal with Xbox is also rumoured as is Forza Horizon 4 which is the most likely to be released this year given the usual bi-annual release schedule of the Motorsport and Horizon entries in the Forza series since the start of this generation it is Horizon’s turn with Forza Motorsport 7 releasing last year.
