Fast forward 30 years and we now have pang adventures been created by a French studio named DotEmu.

Jumping into the game you play as a young hero fighting off an alien invasion. The way you go about doing this is shooting bouncing balls with a harpoon. ( someone should have told this to Will Smith in the independence day, would of saved a lot of hassle) you play on a single screen with balls bouncing above you and a 30 second time limit. Once a ball is hit the ball then divides into two separate balls until the balls eventually disappear . Every time you shoot a ball you also get points towards the target score you have to complete the level. It’s not just as simple as you shoot a bunch of balls with your harpoon. Firstly if you are hit with a ball it’s game over, secondly the harpoon only fires up, A little bit like space invaders, and
You can get a helping hand along the way with boosts such are a machine gun or a double harpoon, these make life alot easier. You can also collect different boosts that will give you a little time boost or a little bit of shield.
Tour mode will be the first mode you come across. In this mode, you travel across the globe fighting the alien invasion on 15 themed levels. In between these, you will face the region’s boss.

You also panic that’s a survival style. That’s kinda self-explanatory so I won’t bore you with the details of that and finally, you have score mode that’s a retro-themed high score mode. To play the other two modes You have to complete the tour mode first. You have the choice of solo or cooperative in this mode whitch gives you the opportunity to beat your friends and have some fun or even just in against a stranger and you could always just sit back and enjoy the game by your self.
Overall pang adventures offers an enjoyable and tense experience. It’s a brilliant game to either pass a bit of time on your commute or to sit and spend a while on a lazy Saturday playing and competing for the best score. I know I will continue to play this game from time to time
