Last night Insomniac Games wowed Spiderman fans all over the world with the announcement that Spiderman: Miles Morales is going to be a launch title on the PS5 this holiday season.
It has long been rumoured that Spiderman 2 would not be a launch title so to See Spiderman; Miles Morales be showcased early on in the show was a massive surprise and caused ripples of excitement across the internet. That is until The Telegraph published an interview with Sony’s executive vice president and head of European business Simon Ritter.
Simon explained in the interview that Spiderman; Miles Morales isn’t actually a new game at all it’s a cheap lazy cash in. Or as he put it himself:
‘I guess you could call it an expansion and an enhancement to the previous game,’ he said, ‘There’s a substantial Miles Morales component – which is the expansion element – but also within the game as well there’s been major enhancements to the game and the game engine, obviously deploying some of the major PlayStation 5 technology and features.’
So there we have it, boys and girls. Spiderman: Miles Morales isn’t a cynical cash grab that could have easily been released as unlockable or DLC content for the original game! Silly people it is a remaster, expansion and enhancement of the original game!
It really isn’t hard to see why some gamers are jaded is it?
