Sony has announced the long in beta Firmware 7.00 is to finally launch sometime this week.

Firmware 7.00 which has been in Beta for a good few months is to finally be rolled out to all PS4 users and brings with it some pretty big changes.

The most notable change is the size of party chat increasing from 8 people to 16. Raising the limit of party chat members seems a little obsolete since most games tend to have teams of 2,3 4 or 6 but adding the ability whether needed or not is never a bad thing.

The other big mention of Firmware 7.00 is Remote Play. Smartphones and tablets running Android 5.0 or higher will be able to stream PS4 games — all you’ll need to do is go download the PS4 Remote Play App from the Google Play store. 7.00 also brings some iOS Remote Play improvements, such as the ability to display the on-screen controller at all times.

There is no exact date for release other than this week but we will let you know as soon as it is ready to download.
