Welcome and familiarise yourselves with this new alternate universe. Professional sports are not as before. Due to travel manipulation, everything has changed. We welcome you to the world Quantum League, a shooting sport that is heavily weaponized team-based. Quantum League is taking over the world.
During your time as a Quantum Athlete, you will be required to compete in 1v1 and 2v2 matches in specially designed arenas. There is a time loop feature that rewinds and revives you, allows you to team up with yourself by cloning yourself. Your goal is to dominate the sport, become the Number One superstar which in turn rewards you with great fame and wealth as you progress further into the game. But agility, speed and skill alone are not enough to rise to the top. You need to remember that the ability to tactically play with yourself is important too!
There are many features to the game. They include a unique time loop game mechanic in which you have to dominate each round by taking advantage of the cloning time-loop in each arena to outmanoeuvre your opponent. You must consider where you were and where you want to be to make that final winning shot, turning the tide of battle in an instant.
There are multiple Options for Combat – you can either play solo against an online opponent in 1v1 battles or dial up to the power of 2 in 2v2 multiplayer matches. Chase the top of the competitive leader board for global recognition!
You are able to play in different game modes which include death match and capture point across 9 different arenas.
You can choose from 6 different characters to play and level up as you progress which enables you to unlock new outfits and styles as you evolve.
But before all that you are able to select from 6 different weapons as you head into the Quantum Arena! The weapon of your choice is important as it will be what helps you dominate the Quantum League.
When you start Quantum League, you are greeted with 3 or 4 training missions which shows you how the game plays as well as a tutorial 1v1 with AI. The tutorial level was really easy, (apart from the jumping part of it as I am rubbish at PC games and PC controls. Give me a console controller any day!)
When I first started the game, I found the aiming mechanics hard to get to grips with as I am used to games such as CS:GO and Valorant, but as the game went on, I managed to find them easier to use and got the hang of them.
Quantum League, in my opinion, has animated realism and reminds me of games like Overwatch. They run very smoothly and there is no lag within gameplay.
Gameplay really makes you think about what you have to do. Each loop is around 15 seconds long, you have to work tactically to keep all three of your clones alive whilst trying to kill your opponent and their clones.
I found this very fun as it is not like anything I have ever played before and you really have to have top overthink you’re playing style.
There isn’t much sound to Quantum League, there is some funky upbeat music whilst you’re in the menu. But other than that, gameplay sounds are just general shooter style sounds.
If you like a CS:GO styled thinking, FPS game (which means I am stuffed,) then I definitely recommend this game to others. It is fun, you get to play against friends and it actually uses your brain rather than you sat there staring mind-numbingly at the screen doing the same things on the same games.
Quantum League is still in early access so be sure to catch it when it goes on general sale! You will not be sorry! Unless you don’t get it, then you will be sorry you missed out!
