Xbox and Undead Labs have officially announced that State Of Decay 2 will launch worldwide on Xbox One & Windows 10 PCs on 22 May 2018.  The game is a cross-play title meaning if you purchase the game digitally on either platform you will have both versions and Xbox and PC players can play together in drop in, drop out co-operative play for up to 4 players.

The game is being sold at just £24.99 which, according to Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg, is to make the game more affordable to a larger number of players so they can grow their player base and that the game will continue to receive expansions post launch to keep adding new content for players to explore and a Gold Edition of the game is available for £39.99 that includes the game’s season pass.  Although no details on what that post launch content will be have been released at this time.  The game is also being added to Xbox Game Pass their monthly subscription service for £7.99 a month.  Xbox announced recently that all their first party games will be free for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass which includes Rare’s upcoming open world multiplayer pirate em up Sea Of Thieves, which releases on 20 March 2018.
