I discovered this when my daughter started playing Super Lucky’s Tale today, when I noticed a downloadable content option had been added to the main menu. To my surprise the Microsoft Store loaded up on Gilly Island’s page, a new story expansion for Super Lucky’s Tale with a lovely looking new beach setting.
I looked at the above screenshots & watched the launch trailer at the bottom of this article then read the description for the DLC. It is a direct follow up to where the main game’s story ends with Jinx being defeated. But there’s new trouble afoot as Lady Meowmalade (a cat villain in SLT who is a parody of Lady Gaga) is set to throw a massive concert so the Book Of Ages sends poor Lucky to save the Island’s Inhabitants from Meowmalade’s awful singing voice. Sounds like terribly corny endearing fun!
The Gilly Island expansion for Super Lucky’s Tale is £4.19 on the Xbox One & Windows 10 Store where if you purchase on either platform you get both versions as it is a cross-buy Xbox Play Anywhere title. I thoroughly enjoyed Super Lucky’s Tale, netting all 1000 gamerpoints after obtaining all of the achievements for completing every single thing the game had to offer. So I’m most looking forward to this and my daughter loves Lucky even more than me so looks like we will be off on another adventure with Lucky and friends very soon!
