Frances McDormand won Best Actress in a Leading Role, 21 years after winning her first for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Fargo (1997), and pleaded with every female nominee to stand with her in support as she called for greater support for female nominees’ projects. While accepting his first ever Oscar after such an amazing career, Gary Oldman thanked his 98-year-old mother, saying “Thank you for your love and support. Put the kettle on. I’m bringing Oscar home.”
